Description
The Coordinator of Admissions Visits and Events is a key member of the Admissions team responsible for enhancing the prospective student experience and providing strategic leadership for Husson University's Welcome Center. This position oversees the student ambassador program, manages visitor operations, and coordinates general campus visits, athletics visits and admissions event logistics in alignment with the University’s policies and enrollment strategies. The role requires independent decision-making, supervisory oversight, program development, and cross-departmental collaboration to ensure exceptional customer service, utilization of institutional resources, and operational effectiveness.
Examples of Duties
Provide leadership and strategic oversight for the daily operations of the Admissions Welcome Center.
Serve as the primary contact for all prospective student visits, managing the scheduling and coordination of individual, athletic recruits and group campus experiences using Slate CRM, EMS, institutional forms and Google Calendar.
Develop and implement processes that enhance prospective students’ first impressions, customer satisfaction, and visitor engagement.
Manage the Eagle Ambassador tour guide program, including recruitment, hiring, training, supervision, scheduling, team development events, and performance evaluation of student staff.
Coordinate with the Office of the President to support the Presidential Ambassador program initiatives and events.
Ensure high-quality training and consistent service delivery from student employees, and initiate performance improvements as needed.
Collaborate with the Director of Admissions and other stakeholders to design and execute recruitment events such as Eagle Days, Enrollment Receptions, Open Houses, Accepted Student Days and New Eagle Prep Events.
Evaluate and adjust Welcome Center procedures, ensuring continuous improvement aligned with institutional goals.
Monitor and maintain accurate public-facing information, including campus directories and digital platforms.
Create and submit Request For Payment (RFP) forms for the Enrollment Management Division invoices
Maintain compliance with University policies and procedures and participate in strategic discussions related to visitor engagement.
Provide analytical reporting on visit trends, staffing needs, and operational enhancements to improve recruitment yield and satisfaction.
Answer and forward incoming phone calls and electronic communications coming into the University’s main line to the correct departments.
Other related duties as assigned by the Director of Admissions.
Typical Qualifications
Education: Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
Experience: Minimum of three years of increasingly responsible administrative, program coordination, or customer service experience; supervisory experience required.
Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage programs, supervise staff, and work independently with minimal oversight. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment with a commitment to excellence. Proficiency in scheduling systems, CRM tools, and productivity software.
