Davies Claims North America is looking for an experienced Claims Representative II to handle managing, investigating, and resolving of serious claims involving minor property damage and complex bodily injury claims filed against the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA). Reporting to the MTA Claims Supervisor and/or other designated officials, you will manage a caseload of approximately 150-175 individual case files, some with multiple claimants, arising from MTA operations.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high-level attention to detail, display superb problem-solving skills, and exhibit discretion with sensitive and confidential information. You must have a high school diploma or possess a high school equivalency certificate, and must have at least two years of experience investigating, settling, and handling automobile property damage, bodily injury, and general liability claims. Additionally, you must demonstrate an exceptional capability to multi-task and prioritize with excellent organization and documentation skills in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
This role is a full-time, hybrid position at the Maryland Transit Administration office based in Baltimore, MD.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of approximately 150+ claim files, some with multiple claimants, pertaining to MTA operations liability
Perpetual evaluation of reserves for property damage and/or bodily injury claims with exposures of $25,000 or greater (subject to change)
Investigating claims, issuing timely reports, completing thorough diary reviews, managing litigation, and demonstrating excellent organizational skills

Required
High School diploma or possession of a high school equivalency certificate
Two years of experience handling commercial liability claims with emphasis on mass transit, automobile, and general liability
Experience with investigating, settling, and handling automobile property damage, bodily injury, and general liability claims
Adherence to the requirements within Section 111 of the Medicare, Medicaid, and SCHIP Extension Act of 2007
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Preferred
College degree
Familiarity with Medicare requirements Other skills and abilities
