Job Title: Payroll Coordinator

Location: Chicago, IL (Loop)-Hybrid 3 days in office, 2 days remote

Pay Range: $24/HR-$26/HR (Based on Experience & Qualifications)

Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance. 401(k)

Role Overview:

Brilliant Financial Staffing has been engaged in a search for a Payroll Coordinator for our client located in Chicago, IL (Loop). Our client, a well-known legal firm, is currently looking for an experienced Payroll Coordinator to join their department on a contract basis for approximately 4-6 months. Our client recently has gone through a transition in the payroll department, and are looking for a Payroll Coordinator to help them out during this time. There is a vacancy on the team so there is some potential for this to become permanent if it’s earned. This Payroll Coordinator would be responsible for payroll processing and responding to inquiries and special requests. This is an immediate need so the ideal Payroll Coordinator would be able to interview and then start ASAP.

Payroll Coordinator Responsibilities:

Process payroll for up to 250 employees

Process both hourly and salary employee payroll

Communicate with employees regarding payroll discrepancies and inquiries

Audit payroll data

Prepare employment verification letters

Special projects as requested

Qualifications:

3+ years of Payroll experience

Excel experience with Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP’s preferred

Strong organizational skills

Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced setting
