Job Description

As a Lead Machinist, you will safely and accurately operate CNC machinery to perform a variety of functions, demonstrating high skill, attention to detail, and precision. A keen eye for detail and great mechanical aptitude are essential for success in this role. The position operates during the 2nd shift from 1:45 PM to 10:15 PM, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

Prepare and operate CNC machines for tasks such as drilling, turning, grinding, and milling.

Read engineering drawings and specifications to understand the task and desired results.

Load raw materials and parts onto machines.

Conduct test runs to ensure machines produce outputs according to specifications.

Monitor machines closely during operation and make necessary adjustments for optimal results.

Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet requirements.

Perform daily inspections and maintenance on machinery to ensure functionality.Essential Skills

Experience as a CNC operator with skills in CNC machinery and tooling.

Proficiency in precision measurement tools.

Ability to read and interpret mechanical/engineering documents and drawings.

Mechanical aptitude and strong math skills.

Attention to detail and a results-driven approach.

Good communication abilities.Additional Skills & Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Certificate or diploma from a CNC machining school or technical college is a plus.

Reliability and perfect attendance are critical.

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $54080.00/yr.
