Job Description

A growing company in the commercial construction industry is seeking a skilled Controller to lead its financial operations. This role oversees accounting functions, ensures accurate financial reporting, and provides strategic guidance to support continued growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage daily accounting with a small team (A/R, A/P, payroll, GL, reconciliations)

Oversee monthly/quarterly/year-end close and financial reporting

Maintain job costing accuracy and prepare WIP reports

Ensure GAAP compliance and coordinate with auditors, CPAs, and tax advisors

Monitor cash flow and forecasting

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)

5+ years of experience in Construction Accounting

Strong knowledge of GAAP, job cost accounting, and financial controls

Experience with construction ERP systems
