Reporting to the Controller & Vice President of Administration, the HR Director is tasked with all human resources-related duties within the company including employment, affirmative action, benefits management, employee relations, and training.

They will serve as the sole HR representative, managing all aspects of the HR function for the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes.

Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiatives.

Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise.

Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace.

Administer employee benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

Undertake tasks involving onboarding and performance management.

Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics.

Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form.

Administer bi-weekly payroll, ensuring proper deductions and withholdings.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, Certifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred.

Experience: 5-10 years of Human Resources experience preferred; ESOP experience preferred.

Certifications: PHR or SHRM Certification preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong organizational skills and detail orientation General knowledge of employment law HR practices and procedures Excellent communicator with the ability to work with a wide variety of personalities, education levels, and work experiences.

Ability to work with confidential information.

Computer skills on a variety of office software packages.

Other Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must have the ability to communicate information in speaking and writing so others will understand.

Must be able to see details at close range.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Must be able to routinely move throughout the office and shop area.
