Electrical Designer – Commercial & Institutional Projects

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Designer to contribute to the design and development of electrical systems for commercial, hospitality, healthcare, educational, and utility facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing design documents and specifications for power distribution, electrical service entrance, emergency power systems, lighting and controls, fire alarm systems, and telecommunications infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Design electrical systems for a variety of commercial and institutional projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and codes.

Develop detailed design documents, including layouts and specifications for power distribution, lighting, controls, fire alarms, and telecommunications.

Ensure adherence to the National Electric Code (NEC), NFPA regulations, and energy codes.

Collaborate with engineers and project teams to develop efficient and effective electrical solutions.

Utilize AutoCAD for electrical design documentation, with Revit experience considered a plus.

Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of electrical design for commercial buildings, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, and telecommunications.

Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit is desirable.

Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, and energy codes.

Ability to create and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
