Job Description
Set up and operate press brake machines (manual or CNC) to bend, shape, or cut metal.
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machine settings and workpiece requirements.
Select, install, and align appropriate tooling and dies.
Perform quality checks using measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure products meet tolerances.
Adjust machine settings to correct deviations and improve output quality.
Monitor machine operation and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
Maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with company and OSHA safety standards.
Record production data, including number of parts produced, time taken, and any issues encountered.
Perform routine machine maintenance and report major repairs to maintenance staff.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Proven experience as a press brake operator or in a similar role.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Familiarity with CNC press brakes (e.g., Amada, Cincinnati, Trumpf) is a plus.
Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes.
Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy materials.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Work Environment:
