Job Description

Robert Half is looking for a controller for a growing Cincinnati based company. The controller is responsible for for all aspects of the budgeting process for the company and monitor monthly analysis of financial results. The controller core responsibilities are below. Core Responsibilities:

•Supervise and provide training, guidance and direction to employees to ensure work is performed in an efficient, timely and accurate manner

•Assist with the monthly close process through the preparation of general ledger journal entries and accruals, account reconciliations, supporting schedules and financial reporting. This includes reviewing account analysis, investigating variances and issue resolution.

•Review the monthly financial information to evaluate options and implement recommendations. Participate in presentations of the analysis to the Executive Leadership Team.

•Assist in the preparation of the annual budget including processing data and review for reasonableness and accuracy with respect to prior year, current budget and historical trends.

•Coordinate year-end financial statement audit

•Proactively identify opportunities to streamline or improve existing accounting processes

•Work with leadership to provide improved KPI’s for operations.

•Evaluate financial systems for appropriateness and identify opportunities of better collecting information and reporting financial results

•Assist with special projects and other job duties as assigned by the CFO and operational personnel• Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial management or accounting roles.

• Proficiency in accounting software systems, including Sage X3, ADP, and CRM tools.

• Advanced knowledge of financial functions such as AP, AR, budgeting, and forecasting.

• Expertise in month-end close activities, journal entries, and account reconciliations.

• Strong skills in auditing and preparing financial reports.

• Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Excel and Crystal Reports.

• Proven ability to manage and improve financial systems and processes.

• Exceptional analytical and communication skills to present complex financial data effectively.
