Field Geologist

About the Role

EBA Engineering is looking for dynamic team members to assist in conducting site investigations and remediation field work. The successful candidate is self-motivated. This position is primarily field work accompanied by reporting and office components. This position provides training for future project managers and leaders.

Responsibilities:

Conducting site assessment/remediation; hydrogeology; and environmental risk management studies and services.

Performing field studies including soil and groundwater sampling, groundwater flow and hydrogeological data evaluation, well installation, aquifer testing, and groundwater monitoring, groundwater and soil remediation evaluation, environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance services, and permitting.

Design and implementation of remedial solutions.

Budget and schedule management.

Client service and satisfaction.

Working closely with leadership to deliver projects on schedule and budget.

Preparing technical reports and supporting cost estimates.

Strong skills in conducting field work and reporting.

Ability to work well in various settings including both office and field.

Mechanically inclined problem solver.

Working understanding of project management systems.

Strong organization and time management skills.

Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to prepare reports and proposals.

Excellent writing and analytical skills a must.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university in geology, hydrogeology, or civil/environmental engineering or other related science.

OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification.

Valid Driver's license (required).

California PG/ or ready to sit for exam within one year.

Pay range and compensation package:

The pay range for this position is $80,000.00- $97,186 per year; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
