Associate Attorney

Job Description

Boutique, small civil litigation defense firm with offices in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Las Vegas is in immediate need of a Litigation Attorney with 1-4 years of experience for its California and Las Vegas office.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Attorney must be able to demonstrate exceptional knowledge and expertise in all phases of litigation from pleadings through trial. Attorney must be a team player and self-starter. An interest in professional negligence cases is a must.

· Draft Pleadings and Motions, Oppositions to Motions, meet deadlines

· Draft and review discovery documents

· Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, inspections

· Perform legal research

· Working closely with experts

· Prepare necessary reporting and correspondence

· Work as part of a trial team and assist with trial preparation and attendance

QUALIFICATIONS

· Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

· Admission to Nevada State Bar and/or California State Bar

· 1-4 years of civil litigation experience, Insurance defense work preferred
