Ready to be part of the action?The Index Application Developer will be responsible for building, maintaining, and enhancing toolsets used by both the index product team internally and index clients externally. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams.

Key Responsibilities

Index Client Portal:

Expand the firm’s existing index client portal website to support additional client features, improve user experience, and resolve errors promptly.

Design, develop, and optimize infrastructure and queries in Microsoft SQL Server to support the portal’s functionality and performance.

Design and develop user-friendly front-end interfaces using .NET Blazor Server and DevExpress components.

Manage the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of web applications and SQL Servers in the Azure cloud environment, ensuring high availability and security.

Internal Support Tools:

Collaborate closely with the index production and development teams to maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot internal support tools, utilizing Microsoft SQL and .NET web frameworks.

Assist in the migration of legacy toolsets to modern frameworks, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

Index Platform Support:

Build, maintain, and optimize robust data pipelines to ingest various data feeds and APIs into the firm’s index platform, ensuring data integrity and timeliness.

Undertake various other programming tasks and projects as needed to support the index team's objectives.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.

Proven experience with Microsoft SQL Server, .NET framework, Blazor, Microsoft Azure cloud services, and Python programming.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of financial markets and index products, including equities and fixed income.

Familiarity with web security and best practices.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be performed in New York City. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of VettaFi’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $85,000 - $95,000 USD
