About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Control and Audit Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for overseeing the accuracy of inventory records, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will play a key role in optimizing inventory processes, minimizing discrepancies, and supporting operational efficiency.

What You’ll Do

As an Inventory Control and Audit Specialist, you will play an integral role in ensuring smooth operations, satisfied customers and ultimately, a healthy bottom line through successful stock management. You’ll partner with internal departments to support operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels across all storage and distribution locations.

Manage and reconcile daily cycle counts.

Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.

Coordinate annual review of obsolete inventory as well as ad hoc reviews when necessary.

Coordinate and participate in end of year inventory counts.

Perform routine and ad-hoc inventory audits to ensure compliance with corporate policies and industry standards. This will include traveling to all locations.

Evaluate and improve internal controls to minimize inventory losses.

Identify inefficiencies in inventory management and propose process improvements and associated training for personnel.

Collaborate with operations to enhance inventory accuracy and reduce variances.

Ensure compliance with internal policies related to inventory control.

Support external audits and provide documentation as required.

Utilize enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to track and update inventory records.

Maintain inventory related data to ensure accurate reporting.

Assist with the implementation and integration of new inventory systems or tools.

Provide inventory related reporting to management.

Skills & Qualifications

Associates degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or a related field, or 5+ years of relevant experience.

Proven experience in inventory management, auditing, or a similar role.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in inventory management systems and ERP. Preference for experience with wireless warehouse software solutions.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams.
