The historical Albert Kahn clubhouse sits along two Donald Ross-designed 18-hole courses. The club cultivates a welcoming atmosphere and garners a sense of camaraderie for members and employees alike. Along with an active environment, Detroit Golf Club hosts, The Rocket Classic PGA tournament through 2027.

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as a Utility Worker at the Detroit Golf Club for the upcoming golf season. As a member of the kitchen team, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation by washing dishes, cleaning equipment, removing trash, stocking supplies, and generally assisting the kitchen staff in keeping the workspace organized and ready for food preparation, all while adhering to high standards of hygiene and food safety practices within a country club setting. Requirements:

General Responsibilities:

Washes dishes by hand or places them in a dishwashing machine.

Washes work tables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.

Sweeps, mops, and cleans floors.

Removes trash and garbage to designated areas.

Transfers supplies and equipment within and between storage and work areas such as pantry and dish room.

Cleans equipment using specific chemicals to ensure sanitary standards.

Polishes silver.

Wash pots.

Attends all allergy and foodborne illness in-service training.

Complies with all HACCP policies and procedures.

Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.

Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.

Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.

Attends training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated.

May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Physical stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Teamwork: Collaborating effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.

Food safety knowledge: Understanding and following proper food handling practices.

Basic knife skills: Ability to safely and efficiently chop vegetables if and when needed.
