Job Title: Principal Enterprise Architect – Customer Channels & Corporate Applications

Location: Hybrid – Columbus, OH (Onsite Tuesday and Wednesday; Remote Monday, Thursday, and Friday)

Duration: 6/16/2025 – 6/15/2026 (Possibility of Extension)

Rate: $75 – $85/hour (Based on experience)

Contract Type: W-2 only (U.S. Citizens and Green Card holders only; no C2C or sponsorship)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Enterprise Architect with expertise in customer channels and corporate application architecture to support enterprise-wide transformation initiatives at a utilities client. This role focuses on guiding the design and integration of customer-facing and corporate systems, including HR, marketing, supply chain, sales, and service platforms.

The selected candidate will report to the Head of Architecture and work across Application Development, Infrastructure, Security, Data & Analytics, and PMO teams. A skills assessment will be required as part of the evaluation process.

Key Responsibilities

Provide architectural leadership across customer channel and corporate systems, including commerce, CRM, HR, marketing, and supply chain applications

Develop and maintain enterprise architecture blueprints, transformation roadmaps, and reference models aligned to business objectives

Lead solution design reviews and architecture governance processes, ensuring standards, scalability, and security

Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to align application strategy with enterprise objectives and technology standards

Drive integration strategies and API-first design approaches across platforms such as Salesforce, SAP, and ServiceNow

Facilitate architecture planning across core capability areas including customer experience, composable architecture, and intelligent automation

Mentor and support junior architects across teams, and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives

Guide adoption of best practices in DevSecOps, runtime environments, and secure application development

Required Qualifications

10+ years of enterprise architecture experience, including oversight of corporate and customer-facing applications

Experience leading architecture across multiple domains such as Salesforce, SAP, HR, Marketing, and Customer Service systems

Strong knowledge of application modernization, cloud migration strategies, and corporate IT platforms

Experience with API-first architectures, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), and on-prem to cloud migrations

Hands-on knowledge of tools and technologies including:

Salesforce, SAP, ServiceNow

Concourse, Copado, Copilot, Docker, Gearset, GitHub, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Postman

Familiarity with architecture domains including:

Agile Development, AI/ML, Integration, DevSecOps, HR, Customer Service, Marketing, Supply Chain, Runtime Environments, and Security

Skills and Competencies

Strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills

Deep understanding of composable architecture, microservices, and customer engagement platforms

Knowledge of TOGAF, ITIL, and enterprise architecture tools like LeanIX

Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Demonstrated leadership in:

Education & Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (required)

Certifications in enterprise architecture (e.g., TOGAF) or cloud/application platforms (e.g., Salesforce Architect, AWS/Azure certifications) are strongly preferred
