Design Coordinator

Worcester or Chester based with a balance of home and office working

£45,250 - £47,632 per year plus Company car or car allowance

35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

We have an opportunity for a Design Coordinator/ Construction Design Coordinator to join our Construction Technical Design team, based in our Worcester office or Chester office. The team works together with various departments within Sanctuary to deliver construction projects in line with regulatory requirements. This role requires flexible approach with some evenings/overnight stays.

The ideal candidate would be a Design Coordinator/Technical Coordinator currently working for a medium to large housebuilder/developer.

The role of Design Coordinator will include:

Coordinating design elements in a number of construction projects from initial post planning all the way through to project completion

Engage architects, engineers and other consultants to deliver the project from the planning stage through to construction on site

Monitor the delivery of technical aspects of construction projects to ensure compliance with design and quality standards and Health and Safety legislation in line with company’s objectives

Develop and maintain up to date knowledge of current and developing Construction, Design and Management legislation

Skills and experiences:

HND or Degree in Architecture, Building or Construction

Working knowledge of the latest building regulations, NHBC and LABC regulations

Proven experience of managing projects throughout a project lifecycle with strong project management skills

Proven experience of staff and contractor performance management

Ability to use AutoCAD would be an advantage

Previous experience with a housebuilder and/or Architect is desirable

Intermediate user of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and Outlook

This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence

Role salary is £45,250 per annum (rising to £47,632 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
