Remedial Building Consultant
The role requires leadership skills and technical expertise to support best practice and building compliance from all participants in the project and focus these to maximise outcomes for the client.
What are my accountabilities?
Lead and coordinate technical investigations and compliance assessments across a range of building types.
Manage stakeholder relationships and ensure service delivery within SLA commitments.
Conduct site inspections and assess construction work for compliance with Australian Standards, NCC, and regulatory requirements.
Prepare expert reports detailing defects, risks, causes of failure, and recommended actions.
Oversee tender documentation, contractor procurement, and project manage remediation works.
Provide strategic technical advice to clients to support risk mitigation and compliance.
About you
Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Building & Construction and/or Engineering (minimum), with an Advanced Diploma in Building & Construction Management preferred.
Experience: 10+ years in a supervisory role within construction, consulting, or engineering, with exposure to commercial, strata, and multi-level projects.
Expertise: Strong knowledge of building codes, WH&S, risk-based surveillance, and construction contracts.
Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Procore, iAuditor, Salesforce is a plus.
Attributes: Self-motivated, professional, and capable of working independently or as part of a national team. You excel in high-pressure environments and bring innovative thinking to complex challenge
