The pay range is $95,000.00 - $171,000.00

About the role:
We have multiple Senior UX Designer roles within our Guest UX team that put you at the forefront of Target’s evolving digital experience—shaping the way millions of guests interact with Target every day across web, mobile, and app platforms. This team plays a critical role in crafting seamless, joyful, and inclusive experiences that drive guest satisfaction and fuel business growth.
You’ll use human-centered design methodologies to understand guest needs, balance business ideas, and deliver best-in-class experiences from concept to execution—while championing cross-functional collaboration and experimentation.
As a member of the team, you’ll also contribute to advancing the broader practice of UX at Target through your influence, impact, and craft. We are an engaged, supportive, and increasingly diverse team focused on elevating the visibility and value of design.
Responsibilities:
Participate in the full design process, from early discovery and strategic approach to ideation, design, testing asset delivery and production with engineers
Lead and contribute craft-specific work to large, complex projects with cross-team impact
Leverage data, insights, and both quantitative and qualitative research to identify and pursue guest-centric outcomes within your product area
Create design deliverables representative of the design process phase – such as journey maps, wireframes, user flows, UI design and prototypes
Hold design work to a high standard of craft, including accessibility, user research, information architecture, interaction design, visual design
Contribute to a culture of human-centered practice within UX, product, and engineering teams
Navigate ambiguity and complexity to deliver clear, inspiring, and effective experiences for guests and value for the business
About you:
You’re an experienced product designer with 4+ years of relevant product design work
Intermediate skills in UX and product design, as well as structuring and planning work, and owning the design process
Skilled in modern design and prototyping tools, such as Figma
Demonstrate strategic problem-solving, systems thinking, and collaboration skills
Naturally curious about human behavior—you ask “why” and challenge assumptions to find the right solutions
Proven ability to effectively use data and insights to set your direction and communicate your approach
You value outcomes and strive toward design that is welcoming, inspiring, and clear
Understand how design contributes to and improves business outcomes
Bring a growth mindset and a desire to evolve both your craft and the team around you
This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
