Job Overview
Tool & Die Maker I focuses on basic tasks and learning the fundamentals of the trade, working under supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Basic knowledge of machining, metalworking, and the use of standard tools like lathes, milling machines, and grinders. Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Basic skills in measuring and inspecting components to ensure they meet specifications. Familiarity with standard tool and die-making techniques, including cutting, shaping, and assembling components. Attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of finished parts. Basic problem-solving skills for identifying minor issues during the machining process. Must be cross-trained and able to support all Tool & Die I roles.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Requiring experience or completion of a relevant apprenticeship or technical program.
Ability to use and accurately read measuring devices (tape measures).
Ability to use hand tools (hammer, wrench, level, etc.).
Ability to follow blueprints.
Ability to read and interpret Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
Ability to use a computer with basic proficiency (data entry).

Work Environment

Associates will frequently work near or with machinery with moving parts, following strict safety protocols.
The facility operates on shift schedules with potential for overtime, including weekends, based on production needs.
