Responsibilities
Oversee the planning, development, and implementation of processes, systems, and resource allocation within the Engineering Department
Monitor, analyze, and report on efficiency KPIs, driving continuous improvements
Lead initiatives to streamline engineering operations and reduce downtime
Oversee budgets such as CapEx, training, and consulting
Manage Engineering Drawing controls and processes
Coordinate communication among departments through CMMS
Collaborate with Production and integrate existing work into engineering schedules
Identify and coordinate larger planned shutdowns
Support EH&S with procedures and safety signoffs
Establish and implement engineering policies and standards
Perform other duties as assigned, ensuring adherence to SQF and Food Safety Standards
Qualifications
10+ years of related engineering experience
5-7 years of experience managing capital projects, budgets, and timelines
Proven leadership and supervisory experience
Experience in manufacturing and engineering operations
Strong knowledge of FDA and PMO design requirements preferred
Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices in the food industry preferred
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering required
MBA preferred
