CNC Machinist – Mazak / Manual Lathe

Low Volume High Mix Precision Shop

Experienced CNC Machinist needed for low-volume, high-mix job shop (typ. 1–5 pcs, mostly assemblies). Must have strong mechanical knowledge and blueprint reading skills (not just op sheets).

About the job:

1st shift

$27 - $33 per hour, based on experience

Full benefits package including 401K match

Contract to hire

Hartford county

Key Duties:

Set up/run Mazak CNC lathes (Mazatrol)

Manual Lathe exp. highly preferred; Prototrak a plus

Read prints, hold tolerances to .001"

Use calipers, micrometers, bore gauges

Troubleshoot, maintain machines, and mentor others

Requirements:

10+ years’ machining/programming experience

Conversational programming (Mazatrol)

Strong problem-solving and fixturing skills

Able to work independently and with a team
