Job Summary
W e are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Power Systems Network Model Analyst to provide support for daily network model maintenance. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of transmission and generation system data. It also provides key backfill support to allow internal teams to focus on major system upgrades and development projects.
Job Description
Analyze transmission network data, including parameters for transmission and generation elements.
Collaborate with various operational and planning teams to ensure accurate and consistent power system models.
Utilize EMS, power flow, LMP, and other modeling and analysis software to support and validate system models.
Maintain accurate network operations models through processing of model change requests (NOMCRs).
Work with industry working groups and stakeholders on data exchange processes.
Develop and apply data mining techniques to support compliance reporting and validate model accuracy.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives and integrate new technologies into modeling workflows.
Provide guidance and training to early-career engineers through a development program.
Oversee updates to modeling software applications, ensuring new functionality is specified and implemented.
Review and analyze system conditions including contingencies, protection systems, mitigation and outage plans.
Draft and present changes to procedures, training materials, and technical documentation.
Assist in developing tools or queries necessary for maintaining data integrity. Job Skills Required
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience beyond degree requirements.
Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of power systems analysis and modeling is essential.
Proficiency in database querying and data integrity practices.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively. Education
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or a combination of education and experience in these fields.
