Project Design Engineer
Structural Engineer with 3+ years' experience in an engineering firm.
The role entails structural design and detailing for a diverse range of projects
utilizing materials such as wood, masonry, concrete, steel, and cold-formed
steel. The primary focus is on custom residential designs, with additional
projects including office spaces, office/warehouse combinations, retail
establishments, restaurants, hotels, mini-storage facilities, various tenant
improvements, and additions to existing structures. Responsibilities also include
conducting site visits and performing special inspections on project sites.
Key duties involve:
• Preparing structural calculations (including gravity, lateral load, and seismic
analyses) for small to medium-sized projects.
• Developing drawings and details, as well as reviewing construction shop
drawings.
• Communicating and coordinating with architects, consultants, contractors, and
clients to align schedules, documents, and meet client requirements.
Requirements:
1. Minimum of BS Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and have passed the FE
Exam
2. Basic working skills w/Auto CAD, Enercalc, RISA 3-D, Bluebeam or Adobe
4. Must be able to work efficiently in Microsoft Office in a Windows/PC
environment.
5. Must be a US citizen or have authorization to work in the United States.
