Position: Lithography Technician
Location: Canton, OH (Warner Street)
Pay Rate: $29.82/hr
Shift: 7PM to 7:30AM (12hr)

What you'll be doing:
Complies with established job safety practices, policies, and procedures as specified in plant and corporate directives for the safe performance of the work assignment.
-PPE Usage & Purpose (gloves, sleeves, hearing protection, foot protection, face shield, goggles, apron, etc.)
Find and interpret SDS Sheet
Demonstrate emergency evacuation & shelter in place procedures
Demonstrate proper lockout of litho equipment & demonstrate proficiency on energy sources
Perform BBS / Safety Observation
Reporting an unsafe condition
Assist in completing incident report and demonstrate proficiency
Properly label chemicals
Demonstrate fire extinguisher usage and selection
Demonstrate E-stop vs control stop procedures
Demonstrate proficiency in load lifting
Supports and follows the guidelines of the food safety system while working in a manufacturing environment.
GMP training and demonstrated knowledge (hand washing)
HAACP training and demonstrated knowledge
SQF training and demonstrated knowledge (security, contamination)
Performs various manual or mechanical production functions by setting up, operating, adjusting, and repairing KBA Metalstar steel flat-sheet printing press production equipment to meet customer specifications.
Loading pallet onto machine
Formatting stacker box
Perform a UV check and demonstrate proficiency
Demonstrate knowledge of centerline controls
Demonstrate ability to read spec sheet
Ability to identify proper coating for production run
Prepare coating for production run
Fill day pot with coating
Format adjustment on coater
Demonstrate proficiency in changing application roll
Reading production schedule
Scan tickets for usage
Required to stage and maintain packaging materials and follow correct packaging/banding procedures.
Banding and unbanding a pallet
Disposal and recycling of all packaging materials
Corner boards, wood blocks, vapor barrier
Prepare and place QAD production tickets
Performs and assists in preventative maintenance on production equipment as required, including track work, elevator, and complete maintenance of the line.
General line lubrication
May assist with the disassembly, overhaul, and rebuilds of production equipment.
Tool use and selection (do nothing test possible)
Perform troubleshooting on production equipment as required.
Performs on-the-job training and development of assigned personnel.
Conducts inspection of in-process materials and in-process and finished products.
Defect recognition
Control plan familiarity
Infinity proficiency
L2L inputting
Responsible for replenishing supplies, materials, parts, and tooling required for assigned area.
Ability to identify proper coating for production run
Prepare coating for production run
Fill day pot with coating
Safe handling and disposal of chemicals
Demonstrated proficiency of ink theory, mixing, X-rite color matching, etc.
Ability to make press plates and understand specifications
Relieves operators for breaks as needed.
Performs record keeping duties as required under the direction of management.
Data entry and interpretation in L2L, Infinity, and QAD
Communicates pertinent information to next shift.
Demonstrated ability to use SQDC boards
Performs clean-up, painting, and housekeeping duties.
5S guidelines / audit
Pre-shift cleaning and disinfecting
Initiates, reviews, and follows all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for area of responsibility.
Demonstrate logging in and usage of Dozuki for SOP retrieval
We’d love to hear from you if:
Broad training in a related field usually acquired through high school education, General Education Development (GED), or through equivalent work experience
Job related experience for 1-2 year(s) minimum
Ability to discern between colors
Certifications/Licenses/Other:
Knowledge of safety practices to deal with exposures to noise levels, physical obstacles, exposure to chemicals, etc.
Must wear all PPE as assigned and follow all safety rules and processes.
Working knowledge of the following areas:
- all assigned equipment and products
- mechanical troubleshooting (hydraulics, pneumatics, etc.)
- use of micrometers, calipers, etc.
- simple hand tools
- data entry
- statistical process controls software
- Required on-the-job and classroom training, including SPC.
