Senior Chinese Linguist - Instruction/Testing with Security Clearance

Overview SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Senior Chinese Linguist - Instruction/Testing in Northern Virginia.

I n this role you will provide language instruction in a professional environment with responsibility for lesson planning, delivery, and assessment of learning.

Strong i nter-personal and communications skills are a must to supportively engage with adult students.

Essential Job Duties * D eliver instruction to students ranging on a starting level from 0 to 3 to raise their proficiency level on the Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) . * Execut e the full cycle of lesson development/planning, instruction, and student assessment.

* Develop lesson plans for appropriate for beginners, intermediate, and advanced classes . * F acilitate classes focused on real-world scenarios to d evelop student's skills in speaking, listening, and reading for both social and professional situations.

* Provide students with constructive feedback . C onsult and collaborate with customers on organization needs to further student success.

* Assess students' learning and proficiency levels base in the ILR scale.

Minimum Requirements * Bachelor's Degree in Education, Language, or a related field . * The federal government requires all linguists on this contract to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

This security clearance requires U.S.

citizenship.

* Prior to beginning work, candidates must complete the process for a fully adjudicated TS/SCI (with poly) security clearance.

SOSi will sponsor qualified candidates for clearance.

* Minimum of five years of experience in the foreign language in struction, assessing student proficiency, developing instructional curricula, and integrating current technology and cultural understanding.

* P ossess excellent English written and verbal communication skills . Competency will be determined by a standardized exam which must be completed as part of the application process.

* P ossess native or near native competency in Chinese (Mandarin) . Competency will be determined by standardized language exams which must be completed as part of the application process.

* Experience in using SharePoint and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications * Active in - scope TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph . * Master's degree in E ducation, Language, or a related field.

* Overseas experience related to or utilizing Chinese (Mandarin) language . * V ersed in multiple teaching methods to support students' vari ed learning abilities and styles . * Subject matter expertise in International Relations, Counter - terrorism, Economics, Legal/Law, Military, Narcotics, Science & Technology, Literature, and Cross-cultural studies are highly desirable.
