Calibration Engineer – Aberdeen
Are you passionate about precision and technology? We are seeking a skilled Calibration Engineer to join our dedicated team in Aberdeen. In this hands-on role, you will work with some of the most advanced underwater instrumentation on the market, helping ensure accuracy, reliability, and performance across a wide range of subsea equipment.
About the Role
As a Calibration Engineer, you will be responsible for the calibration, testing, and maintenance of depth, conductivity, temperature, and sound velocity sensors from industry-leading manufacturers. You'll play a key role in ensuring our equipment meets the highest standards of accuracy, supporting operations across marine and offshore sectors.
As the first Aberdeen based CE you will be setting up a new lab, making it your own and ensuring correct processes and procedures in place.
What will your day to day look like?
Calibrate and test sophisticated underwater sensors and instrumentation
Use specialist calibration tools and software to meet industry standards
Troubleshoot and resolve issues, carrying out repairs when needed
Document results accurately, maintaining rigorous quality standards
Collaborate with engineers to enhance calibration techniques
Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient laboratory environment
Stay informed on the latest industry technologies and practices
Are you what I'm looking for?
HND or degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or a related field
Experience with electronic testing and maintenance, ideally in the subsea or marine sector
Familiarity with subsea equipment is a strong advantage
Confident using calibration tools and software
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
A proactive team player with strong communication skills
