6 Months Contract

Finatal is partnering with a fast-scaling, private equity-backed SaaS business at a pivotal stage of its growth journey. With £100m in turnover and the backing of a top-tier upper mid-market fund, the business is driving toward operational scalability, international expansion, and enhanced investor visibility. As part of strengthening its financial planning capability, the company is seeking an Interim Head of FP&A to lead forecasting, performance analysis, and strategic insight during this critical phase.

Role Overview:

Reporting directly to the CFO, the Interim Head of FP&A will play a key role in building a world-class planning and analysis function to support commercial decision-making and strategic growth. You will bring rigour to forecasting, deliver high-impact insight to both internal stakeholders and investors, and act as a key business partner across departments. This role suits a hands-on, analytical leader with a strong understanding of SaaS metrics in a PE-backed environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Leading all forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning processes across the business.

Developing and improving financial models, dashboards, and KPIs with a focus on SaaS metrics (ARR, churn, LTV, CAC, NRR).

Providing commercial and strategic insight to senior leadership and private equity stakeholders.

Building out investor reporting packs, including board materials and scenario modelling.

Driving performance analysis across sales, marketing, and customer success functions.

Partnering with operational and go-to-market leaders to align finance with business strategy.

Supporting value creation initiatives including pricing strategy, customer segmentation, and international expansion.

Mentoring a growing FP&A team and embedding best-in-class planning tools and processes.

Qualifications and Experience:

A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with a strong FP&A background.

Experience in a high-growth, private equity-backed SaaS or subscription-based business is essential.

Deep understanding of SaaS metrics and business drivers, with experience influencing strategy.

Demonstrated ability to lead planning processes and deliver insightful board-level analysis.

Strong modelling and data visualisation skills (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar).

Confident communicator with the ability to engage senior leadership and investors.

Comfortable operating in fast-paced, evolving environments with a hands-on approach.
