$22.00/hr Starting; $25.56/hr After Completion of Level 1 (Around 90 Days)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Exercise and promote safety
Set up and operate extruding press, using aluminum billet to produce ordered shapes, meeting specifications, dimensions and specific weight
Perform die changes in required time, adjust speeds and temperatures for product uniformity and quality
Inspect products for defects
Check dimensions with micrometers and calipers making necessary adjustments
Maintain production and downtime records throughout the shift
Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Education: HS diploma or GED
Minimum Experience: 3 months’ experience at UAC
Certifications Required: Obtained during new hire orientation
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Communication Skills: Must speak, read and write English
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions and decimals
Reasoning Skills: Good reasoning and decision-making skills; ability to carry out instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form; ability to learn how to operate complex machinery
Physical Abilities: Required to stand 100% of the time; regularly required to reach with hands and arms; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at any time; handle hot metal and tooling; reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions

Schedule: 3rd shift
Safety
All UAC employees must know and follow job safety procedures, attend required health and safety trainings, proactively promote safety at work, and promptly report actual and potential accidents and injuries. Employee must understand the PPE and wear it properly.
