Next Step Recruitment is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a rapidly scaling digital marketplace platform that connects consumers with premium live event experiences — including major sports, concerts, and theater nationwide. This company operates in a high-speed, data-rich environment, where real-time pricing, inventory visibility, and seller performance directly impact growth and profitability.
We're hiring a Marketplace Operations & Pricing Analyst to join the in-office team in downtown Chicago. This is a high-impact, collaborative role at the center of marketplace performance — ideal for someone with strong SQL skills, pricing or supply chain analysis experience, and an appetite for driving measurable outcomes in a growing business.Key Responsibilities
Analyze pricing trends, inventory performance, and seller behavior to recommend optimization strategies.
Build, maintain, and automate dashboards and reports using SQL, Excel, and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, or Looker Studio).
Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to ensure competitive pricing and healthy supply-side dynamics.
Monitor competitor pricing models to support dynamic pricing strategy and marketplace positioning.
Provide ongoing reporting and KPI analysis to inform business decisions and support scaling initiatives.Ideal Candidate Profile
2–5 years of experience in data analysis, pricing, marketplace operations, or supply chain analytics.
Strong SQL proficiency and advanced Excel skills are required.
Experience with visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker Studio is preferred.
Comfortable navigating fast-paced, cross-functional environments with ownership over data strategy and output.
Experience in e-commerce, ticketing, marketplaces, or inventory-based businesses is a plus.
