About the Role
Primo Foods have a rare opportunity for a Technical Lead – Electrical to join the team in Wacol, Brisbane. This role has responsibility for a range of electrical maintenance and installation activities associated with the operations of a fast-paced manufacturing facility.
Your responsibilities will include:
Provide electrical system, equipment and reticulation knowledge, support and expertise to the plant and other employees
Monitor and report on electrical equipment downtime
Ensure immediate reaction to breakdowns and urgent work
Monitor and address crew performance
Identify and propose equipment improvement opportunities
Ensure all requested and scheduled electrical tasks are investigated, planned, executed, completed and closed out on time and in budget
Liaise with the Maintenance Leads and Maintenance Planner for the generation and issue of work orders, work plans, technical information, inspection reports and other information relating to work required to be performed on electrical equipment.
Ensure all electrical documentation and schematics are securely retained, updated and maintained as required
Provide information for Engineering Manager reporting
Program and ensure all statutory requirements are met in relation to:
Test and Tagging
RCD testing.
Emergency lights testing.
Switchboard Rescue Equipment checks.
Electrical Testing Equipment testing.
Safety gloves testing.
Plan, schedule and co-ordinate all shutdown electrical tasks in conjunction with Maintenance Planner and other Leads
Communicate with maintenance team members, supervisors and production staff on breakdowns and outstanding work
Provide electrical process control and PLC programming knowledge, support and expertise to the plant
In conjunction with the Engineering Manager, prepare and submit minor capital applications required to improve the electrical assets
Manage allocated projects from implementation to completion
About you:
Advanced electrical qualifications
Post trade qualifications in supervision or management
Experience in the supervision and maintenance in a fast-moving food manufacturing environment
A thorough understanding of maintenance work management practices
Experience gained from a large heavy industrial organisation
Good computer skills
Proven ability to lead, manage and motivate staff
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
