We are seeking a Controls Technician for our First Quality Products located in McElhattan, PA. This is a 12-hour overnight position (6:45 pm-7 am) on a 2-week rotating crew schedule. This position will be responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining controls components and automation systems for production and associated utility equipment to insure highest reliability, proper line performance, and safe operation.
Salary Range: $70,000-$80,000 annual

Principal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:
Troubleshoots, maintains, and installs PLC’s, HMI’s, process instrumentation, machine control systems, variable frequency drives, servo drives, machine vision, robotics, power distribution (<600V), and control system networking
Interface with PLC/HMI program to diagnose equipment issues
Read and use electrical schematics and electrical test equipment to diagnose equipment issues
Performs electrical preventative maintenance to maintain like new equipment condition
Works closely with the production and support disciplines to identify and resolve problems
Assists with department projects and equipment installations as necessary
Owns personal safety and is expected to follow all electrical safety rules and guidelines
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications/ education and experience requirements:
High School Diploma with associate’s degree in the following or related disciplines:
Mechatronics
Electrical Technology
Robotics and Automation
Electrical Maintenance
Electro-Mechanical Technology
Controls Technology
1-3 years of Industrial Controls experience (preferred)
Skill requirements:
Electrical Knowledge
Fundamental knowledge of electrical theory and principles of operation
Fundamental knowledge of three phase, single phase and DC power
Familiar with NEC and standard wiring practices
Ability to utilize and interpret an electrical multimeter
Software Knowledge
Fundamental knowledge of PLC hardware and software
Ability to read and interpret PLC ladder logic
Fundamental knowledge of servo motion control (preferred)
Microsoft Office Suite
Personal Skills
Safety oriented mindset
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a team
