Links Technology is currently seeking a visionary and highly skilled Sr Systems Engineer to join our client's team in Englewood, CO. Our client is a leading firm in the Aerospace and Defense industry, revolutionizing next-generation mission systems. This is a Contract role offering the unique opportunity for a Sr Systems Engineer to spearhead the development of an Integrated Digital Environment, drive Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) adoption, and play a pivotal part in setting new Systems Engineering (SE) standards and methodologies for the organization.

Responsibilities of the Sr Systems Engineer

Define and manage system architectures, interfaces, and requirements using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools.

Implement and champion MBSE methodologies for diverse programs.

Develop and maintain complex system models using SysML to ensure design consistency, traceability, and integration across multiple programs.

Define and meticulously document system architecture requirements, ensuring full traceability to system models.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including systems engineers, software developers, cybersecurity engineers, and system safety engineers to ensure architecture design is reusable, scalable, and certifiable.

Ensure all documentation is comprehensive and sufficient to guide future program development and sustainment.

Assist with the development and refinement of an internal reference architecture.

Work closely with various programs to develop services and components, including building system models that represent system performance attributes for tracking and analysis throughout the program lifecycle. Qualifications of the Sr Systems Engineer

Bachelor of Science degree in System Engineering or a related discipline.

Typically 10 or more years of relevant, hands-on experience in systems engineering.

Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.

Demonstrated expert knowledge of engineering principles and practices.

Proven experience working effectively in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.

Thorough understanding of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles.

Advanced experience with requirements management and system modelling tools (e.g., ENOVIA Requirements Management, DOORS, Cameo, Dymola, MATLAB) is highly preferred.

Practical knowledge of industry-standard system engineering design principles, including traditional and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE); INCOSE certification (ASEP/CSEP) is a plus.

Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry is preferred.
