Business Systems IT Manager – Manufacturing

Location: La Grange, IL (Onsite)

Salary: $200,000–$220,000 + Bonus

A long-tenured IT leader is retiring, and we’re searching for their successor—a hands-on Business Systems IT Manager to guide the future of enterprise systems in a large food manufacturing company. This is a highly visible role supporting supply chain and finance operations, requiring deep Oracle experience, strong leadership instincts, and a sharp understanding of SOX compliance and business process ownership.

What You’ll Be Doing

Oversee the daily performance, maintenance, and enhancement of Oracle EBS and related business systems supporting finance, supply chain, and operations

Act as the go-to technical partner for leadership teams when business processes need to be improved, optimized, or better aligned with system capabilities

Lead system upgrades, patching cycles, integration reviews, and regression testing to ensure smooth functionality with minimal disruption to operations

Guide and support a team of five analysts through project execution, troubleshooting, and business request resolution, while helping them build long-term capability

Maintain SOX controls and compliance across financial and operational workflows, ensuring clean audit trails and effective role separation

Collaborate directly with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into system enhancements, configurations, or customizations

Evaluate system and data issues, develop solutions, and manage escalations through resolution

Partner with internal stakeholders to improve data visibility and reporting through Hyperion and other enterprise tools

Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for ongoing system support, performance monitoring, licensing, and new solution evaluations

Participate in strategic planning sessions to help align IT capabilities with future business goals and expansion plans

Serve as a key contributor during internal audits, process improvement initiatives, and technology modernization effortsWhat You Bring

BS/BA in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical field is required

5+ years of hands-on IT experience supporting or managing Oracle within a manufacturing setting

Strong IT background in finance and supply chain systems within a manufacturing company, prefer a public company

Deep understanding of SOX compliance, segregation of duties, and audit readiness

Hyperion experience (required for finance systems integration)

Ability to navigate cross-functional priorities and adapt quickly to shifting business needs

Skilled in SQL and data troubleshooting within ERP environmentsPreferred Experience

Prior experience leading, mentoring, or supporting junior team members

Demandtra knowledge is a plus

Exposure to Microsoft 365 integrations
