JOB SUMMARY

This is an entry level engineering rotational program in the Mixing Solutions Early Career Development Program at SPX FLOW. SPX FLOW’s Mixing Solutions business unit is the world leader in fluid mixing equipment that plays a vital role in the creation of polymers and specialty chemicals, precious metals and critical minerals, fresh water, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology, as well as food and beverages that drive our modern world forward.

The Early Career Development Program at SPX FLOW Rochester is a premier entry point into the organization. We hire the best and most talented recent graduates and provide the experiences, training, and support to build our future leaders. Our 2-year program is designed to develop and grow early career talent through broad exposure to different facets of the business. Through multiple roles, value-add projects, mentors, and focused-development, the program provides cohesive, in-depth experiences to launch a fulfilling and successful career at SPX FLOW.

This program provides extensive exposure to Mixing Solutions senior leadership team. At the conclusion of each rotation (four, 6-month rotations), and completion of the 2-year program, you will have the opportunity to present an overview of your work to senior leaders at the company, including the president of our business unit. These rotations will provide you with a “Big Picture” view of our company while at the same time offering hands-on experiences that aim to sharpen your technical and leadership skills.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Strong verbal and written communication skills with a variety of different audiences.

Strong organizational skills / intrapersonal skills, pro-active mindset, self-starter.

Problem solving and analytical skills.

Able to articulate and present ideas, concepts, and product demonstrations in front of a large group of people.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Proficiency in computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Willingness to occasionally travel to customer sites or other SPX Flow locations throughout the Americas when needed.

Desire to grow into a future technical or people leader.

Excellent teamwork skills, organizational competency and the ability to prioritize.

Solid mathematical skills including the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, etc. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Strong mechanical aptitude. Knowledge of installation, operation, maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment (if applicable to your degree).

Ability to read and generate engineering drawings, process flow diagrams, and P&IDs (if applicable to your degree).

Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts and fluid dynamics to properly size equipment (if applicable to your degree).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will require legal authorization to work permanently in the country where you apply without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. The role will be located at our factory in Rochester, NY. In addition, to be a good fit for the rotation program, you have the following:

Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or higher from four-year college or university

Mechanical, or other related Engineering fields.

Willingness to travel to other locations for periods of time not to exceed 6 months.

Pay: $80,000/YR

Working conditions are normal for an office and/or client site workshop or warehousing facility. The noise level in the work environment is moderately quiet, however local and client sites can be unpredictable and associated safety equipment should be worn accordingly.
