Job Summary

Newberry Group seeks a Database Administrator to support its Government Client.

Location

Hybrid position (must live near Chambersburg, PA; Ft. Meade, MD; or Arlington, VA)

DoD Secret Clearance required

Contingencies

Contingent on Contract Award (tentative start date June 16, 2025)

Primary Responsibilities:

Maintain the PPSM VAD tool that is built in an Oracle based consolidated database and maintain incorporation in an Oracle consolidated database for continued support.

Conduct VA and IA security engineering analysis of PPS, security configuration/implementation strategies, and create VA reports.

Provide the services required by the PPSM Database SME for supporting and maintaining the VAD in support of the PPSM VA processes.

Create, monitor, edit, and close tracking numbers as part of the life cycle of the work; to include a notification mechanism of the status of a tracked ticket.

Manage the PPSM Registry Database User Accounts, PPSM Registry database system data entry, and data export to unique data formats to externals database administrators.

Conduct quality assurance of all VA, IA security engineering analysis, Quality Assurance, systems and application security implementation strategies and measures for cybersecurity, and RMF.

Conduct discovery and analysis methodologies that support information security configurations, vulnerability management, and the interoperability of PPS through machine-to-machine interfaces.

Analyze current and emerging net-centric requirements and track the PPSM portfolio’s readiness to meet these requirements.

Support the PPSM PM in the execution of annual Implementation Plans, to create fundamental, definitive, but agile PPSM standards to maintain strong, secure, uninterrupted access to Government resources and critical applications throughout the DoDIN for the PPSM program.

Perform services required for supporting and maintaining the VAD in support of the PPSM VA processes.

Send the PPSM CCB/TAG Read Ahead to PPSM Community prior to each PPSM CCB/TAG meeting.

Publish the CAL monthly. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related area of study (i.e. Security, Information Technology).

At least six (6) years of experience supporting similar requirements.

Active DoD Secret clearance
