Overview
Set up, operate, and maintain plastic molding equipment—such as injection, blow, or extrusion machines—to produce high-quality parts on schedule. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize processes, ensure safety and quality, and accurately record all ERP transactions.
Key Responsibilities
Configure and calibrate molding machines; adjust settings for optimal performance
Monitor runs for defects; implement immediate corrective actions
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical, material, or process issues
Read and apply blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
Log machine parameters, adjustments, maintenance, and quality data
Support process improvements to boost yield and reduce waste
Train new technicians and operators on equipment, safety, and SOPs
Assist with new technology rollouts and equipment upgrades
Follow all safety, environmental, and company policies
Qualifications
1 year in plastic processing, machine operation, or similar manufacturing role
Strong grasp of injection, blow, or extrusion molding techniques
Skilled with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and SPC methods
Proficient reading technical drawings and using Windows-based control systems
Excellent troubleshooting, mechanical aptitude, and math skills
Able to lift 50 lb, work on various levels, and endure extreme conditions
Flexible to work up to 12-hour shifts as needed
