Construction Manager

Job Description

Construction Manager - power generation client located in New Jersey looking for a full-time on site construction manager for expansion projects and general building oversight. Contractor position to start with a possibility of becoming a direct hire placement.

Job Description:

Manage project lifecycle for capital and O&M construction projects across real estate portfolio, including planning, bidding, awarding, execution, and closeout.

Oversee the planning, design, engineering, and construction of various facility and infrastructure projects, such as offices, service centers, data centers, warehouses, emergency operating facilities, and dispatch centers.

Develop and review project documentation, scope documents, performance specifications, contracts, bid packages, requisitions, and engineering work requests.

Create job packages for modifications or additions to electrical, mechanical, HVAC, building envelope, and site work.

Define project requirements, develop performance specifications, and manage budgets and schedules.

Prepare and present project status reports covering scope, budget, schedule, risks, and mitigation strategies.

Facilitate project close-out, lessons learned, and participate in audits

Perform project analytics and planning for the Administrative Services department.

Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive work environment.

Travel to off-site locations and work outside regular business hours as needed.

Requirements

Requirements:

Degree preferred but NOT required

minimum of 5 years in commercial & industrial mechanical and electrical requirements

Must be able to read and understand construction drawings

Minimum of 10 years of Construction Management experience
