Packaging & Fulfillment Supervisor

Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Packaging and Fulfillment Supervisor at Polyvinyl Films Inc. will report to the Plant Manager and will indirectly report to the Packaging & Fulfillment Manager. They will oversee all aspects of product packaging and order fulfillment operations within the packaging warehouse, ensuring timely and accurate processing of customer orders while maintaining quality standards, managing inventory levels, and collaboratively supervising the packaging team to achieve operational efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure proper packaging materials are used according to product specifications and customer requirements.

Supervise the packaging process, including quality checks to minimize damage during transit.

Identify and implement packaging improvements to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.

Assist with leading and motivating a team of packaging and fulfillment associates, assigning tasks and providing necessary training.

Monitor team performance, identify areas for improvement, and provide feedback to ensure quality standards are met.

Collaborate with the Plant Manager and HR to address employee concerns and resolve any operational issues within the team.

Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and company quality standards throughout the packaging and fulfillment process.

Conduct regular quality checks to identify and address any packaging errors or product damage.

Maintain accurate documentation and reporting on packaging and fulfillment activities.

Proficiently utilize warehouse management tracking tools to manage inventory, orders, and generate reports.

Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to fulfillment efficiency, accuracy, and on-time delivery.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Proven experience in warehouse operations, particularly in packaging and fulfillment roles

Strong leadership and supervisory skills to collaboratively manage a team effectively

Excellent organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Proficiency with MS Excel and other relevant Warehouse Management software

Detail-oriented with a focus on quality control and accuracy

Ability to lift and move heavy packages as required

Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Strong commitment to driving and leading health and safety.

Lean/Six Sigma, 5S preferred.

Shipping/Materials Handling experience

Powered Industrial truck experience.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. on your own.

Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.

Bending, stooping and reaching.

Exposure to dust, loud noise, and varying temperatures.

1st Shift:

Monday-Friday: 7:00am-3:30pm

Full-time
