Job Description

Salary: $28-35/hr

Firematic is a family-owned business who has been serving those who protect us all for over 50 years!We are seeking a motivated Service Writer to join our team at our fast-paced, high-volume fire truck repair shop.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

In this role, you will be responsible for writing repair orders, scheduling service, and ensuring clear communication throughout the repair process. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Answer incoming calls and schedule Apparatus repairs

Greet customers upon arrival for service appointments

Maintain appointment and work scheduling as directed by the Service Manager

Prepare repair orders showing parts and labor estimates in accordance with

established procedures

Daily data entry of parts, supplies, labor and outside vendor repairs on repair order

Route completed repair orders for invoicing

Ensure customer service standards are being met

Route completed repair orders for invoicing daily, upon completion

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

Positive can-do attitude!

Previous experience as a service writer or advisor (truck or automotive industry preferred).

Strong understanding of vehicle systems and repair terminology.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Proficient in repair order software and basic computer programs.

Ability to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure.
