Job Summary

The Senior Manager of Sales Planning plays a critical role in enhancing the consumer experience and driving sales performance and profitability. This position is responsible for analyzing sell-in and sell-through trends across the KEEN brand to inform inventory strategy and surface actionable risks and opportunities. A key contributor to strategic decision-making, this position helps optimize sales, inventory turns, and margin health within the Utility Wholesale business. The role also partners closely with senior leadership to support the development of annual and monthly budgets and forecasts. Additionally, the Senior Manager leads the creation and implementation of tools and processes that strengthen the effectiveness and scalability of the Sales Planning function.

This role is based in Portland and requires a regular presence at our global headquarters (minimum three days per week).

Essential Functions

Collaborates with Demand Planning, Merchandising, and Sales teams to manage forecasts for the US.

Evaluates current performance to plan and impacts to future forecasts, creates and manages monthly sell-in and sell-thru goals by category and key programs.

Provides insights into upside opportunity and potential risks to the plan and solutions to mitigate.

Minimizes lost sales due to inventory availability through accurate forecasting by channel.

Works closely with finance and sales leadership on annual and long-range business strategies and budgets, and manages forecasts for the season.

Partners with Supply & Demand planning to ensure inventories are planned to support budgets.

Manages sales to stock ladder planning that drives OTB conversion and healthy inventory levels by key styles, franchises, and categories across all channels in US Market

Leads continuous development of account planning tools and processes between Finance, Demand Planning, Merchandising, and Sales teams.

Creates holistic sell-in and sell-through tools and analysis to ensure product and market health of the brand; providing meaningful sell-thru insights that drive action/change in behavior of retail partners, ultimately leading to greater sell-in and improved sell-through for accounts.

Collaborates with the Sales team to create account-facing sell-in decks, focusing on using data visualization and KPI metrics to create assortment strategies, educate buying teams, and influence buying behavior throughout the go-to-market process, both pre-season and in-season.

Partners with Sales and Merchandising leadership to support 3-5 year strategic business plans for Key Accounts.

Optimizes sell-through dashboards to track performance, identify trends, and present opportunities for the sales force.

Develops and communicates ongoing sales reporting (sales results, promotional tracking, marketing effectiveness, etc.).

Presents a monthly executive-level summary of sell-through data and trends for top accounts and styles.

Evaluates emerging trends, rationale, and competitive landscape to drive enhancements to current business practices.

Develops emerging strategies to grow market segment share.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree with a focus in business, merchandising, finance, economics, or related field - Required

Eight (8) years in merchandise planning/buying, demand planning, business analysis, or brand management within the industry

Three (8) years of prior management experience, including demonstrated staff development

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Prior experience with managing inventory and financial plans for key accounts and/or business

Strong understanding of retail math, and proven record of utilizing financial metrics to manage a business, driving sales, turn, and margin.

Demonstrated communication, interpersonal & presentation skills with proven impact influencing stakeholders across an organization. Ability to influence senior leaders with analysis and

Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and in front of large

Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications, including the ability to create reports with a database and/or spreadsheets (must have strong Excel skills, including: V/Xlookup, pivot tables).

Proficiency in PowerPoint and incorporating Excel charts to build storytelling visuals.

Travel - Minimal travel required. Possibly 1-2 regional trips for account meetings.

Base Salary: $125,000 - $135,000 yearly

This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. The actual base salary will depend on numerous factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and location.
