Job Description
Specific Responsibilities:
Hardware Deployment & Setup
Deploy and configure end-user devices, including desktops, laptops, handheld scanners, mobile and fixed printers.
Perform imaging, configuration, and network setup to ensure full integration into IT environment.
Support the setup of new equipment related to WMS and ASRS systems
Technical Troubleshooting & End-User Support
Provide hands-on support for hardware, software, and peripheral issues at the site.
Resolve user connectivity and performance issues across wired and wireless networks.
Escalate complex issues to the central IT or engineering teams as needed
Cisco Networking Support
Assist with the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Cisco network equipment, including access switches and wireless access points
Support VLAN changes, port activations, and switch port troubleshooting in coordination with network operations
Participate in switch replacements and network cutovers, ensuring proper patching and labeling.
Project Support & Execution
Execute site-level tasks in support of broader IT projects, such as hardware refreshes, infrastructure upgrades, and system rollouts
Coordinate with project managers and vendors to ensure timely completion of deliverables
Independent Site Operations
Act as the primary on-site IT support resource for the Davison Road Processing Center, operating independently and making sound technical decisions with minimal oversight.
Monitor and maintain key IT systems critical to operations, including ASRS, scanners, and network-dependent equipment.
Prioritize issues based on operational impact and user needs.
Communication & Collaboration
Communicate clearly and professionally with end users, operations leadership, and IT teams.
Document issues, steps taken, and resolutions in the ticketing system and knowledge base.
Provide input and suggestions for improving local IT support processes
Process Compliance & Documentation
Follow standard IT processes, including change control, incident management, and hardware tracking.
Maintain accurate documentation of device configurations, IP assignments, cabling, and network diagrams
Ensure all equipment is properly tagged and tracked through inventory systems.
Inventory & Equipment Management
Manage local stock of critical IT components to minimize downtime
Assist with physical inventory checks and updates to asset management records
Coordinate shipping and receiving of devices for repairs or replacementsCompany Description
