A boutique law firm in Montgomery County, MD is seeking temporary legal support this summer. As the temporary Legal Assistant, you will provide legal administrative support through excellent customer service, attention to detail, practiced discretion surrounding sensitive details, and ad hoc office needs. The firm is looking for a self-starter with a positive attitude. Candidates with a high interest, or experience, in legal support, specifically within trusts and estates, real estate, or probate matters are encouraged to apply!

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review legal documents.

Maintain calendars, handling appointments and meetings across schedules, databases, and files.

Interact with clients by phone, email, and in-person, especially practicing active listening skills.

Update legal staff with new project developments and deadlines.

Create spreadsheets in Excel, manage data, and pull together necessary information.

Manage internal filing systems, maintain documentation, and track spreadsheets.

Accurately prepare and send time-sensitive documents, mail and packages.

Interest in the legal industry. You possess a minimum one (1) or more years of administrative experience, preferably within a legal capacity. A Bachelor's degree is highly preferred. Candidates with prior trusts and estates experience will stand out!
