Swoon is partnering with a Fortune 100 industry leader to hire an Azure Cloud Engineer for a fully onsite, one-year contract opportunity based in one of their core tech hubs: Peoria, Nashville, or Dallas. Initial one-year contract Azure Cloud Engineer opportunity
Location: Peoria, IL, Nashville, TN or Dallas, TX – fully onsite
Duration: Initial one-year contract with high potential to extend/convert based on performance
Pay Rate: $30-31/hr W2, open to C2C, Self-Corporation candidates as well
What you will do:
Deploy Azure cloud technologies based on requirements gathered from business partners using skills such as PowerShell, VBS, Python, Java, NodeJS, JSON, YAML, Bash, Azure Portal, CI/CD Pipelines, Azure DevOps, and GitHub.
Perform implementation and integration tasks for medium to large, complex in-house developed systems and/or purchased software solutions without close supervision for both PaaS and IaaS.
Assist business partners with documentation, training and usability efforts
Troubleshoot infrastructure and/or application connectivity issues across a complex global network
Enhance and adhere to architectural designs, processes and procedures
Manage and plan your deliverables using the Agile methodology
Provide high-level consulting to teams utilizing the sandbox environments, ensuring velocity in proof-of-concept activities
Ensure operational activities are completed within the required OLAs/SLAs.
Collaborate with the company's IT teams to enable foundational functionality as defined in the service enablement process
Skills needed to be successful in this role:
2+ years in infrastructure operations or applications development, with special emphasis in areas of networking, DNS, application services, security, distributed computing, databases, and storage
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related Information Technology degree
Windows Administration experience
Linux Administration experience
Azure Certifications AZ-900, AZ-104, AZ-500
Experience developing or implementing architectural designs (Logical Technical Architecture), processes and procedures
Experience using the Agile methodology
Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, specifically Azure DevOps (Microsoft VSTS)
Experience with technical leadership or lead developer role with practical experience in cloud computing, architecture work, systems or application design, and development
Experience working with IT security on infrastructure or applications security compliance and security vulnerability remediation activities
Strong verbal and written communication (English), teamwork, analytical, and interpersonal skills
Strong problem solving and customer service skills
