**Job Title: Forklift Operator**

**Job Description**

We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our team. This role involves operating specialized equipment, including sit-down forklifts and clamp trucks, to manage the loading and unloading of trucks and rail cars. The position requires attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.

**Responsibilities**

+ Load and unload trucks and rail cars efficiently and safely.

+ Handle shipping and receiving operations.

+ Perform daily maintenance checks of forklift operations.

+ Maintain inventory using FIFO rotation and warehouse management systems.

+ Utilize RF Scan guns and terminals.

+ Inspect, load, and store products securely.

+ Ensure sanitation and housekeeping in the warehouse.

+ Engage in general cleaning and sweeping to keep drive areas clear for forklifts.

+ Perform all other duties as assigned.

**Essential Skills**

+ Minimum of 1 year of forklift experience, with preference for 1-3 years.

+ Experience with sit-down forklifts and clamp trucks is highly valued.

+ Proficiency in warehouse operations and using RF Scan guns.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Willingness to train candidates with stand-up or reach truck experience on sit-down forklifts.

+ Ability to work efficiently in a small team environment.

**Work Environment**

The work environment is a clean warehouse with minimal supervision, involving a small team of approximately 55 employees. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with two shifts available: 7 AM to 5 PM, including 5 hours of overtime, and 5 PM to 3:30 AM. Wearing work boots is preferred for safety. This role includes both independent and collaborative tasks in a dynamic setting.

**Job Type & Location**

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $19.25/hr.
