About the Role:

The Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in the healthcare team, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care in a timely manner. This position involves a combination of clinical and administrative tasks that support the efficient operation of the medical office. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for preparing patients for examinations, assisting healthcare providers during procedures, and managing patient records. Additionally, they will perform essential tasks such as taking vital signs, drawing blood, and processing specimens. Ultimately, the Medical Assistant contributes to a positive patient experience and the overall effectiveness of healthcare delivery.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Completion of a medical assistant training program.

Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent).

Proficiency in medical terminology and basic clinical procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in a medical office.

Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Additional certifications in phlebotomy or specialized medical assisting.

Responsibilities:

Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and medical histories.

Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.

Perform phlebotomy and specimen processing as required.

Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of medical instruments and equipment.

Manage administrative tasks such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and maintaining patient records.
