One Hospitality is a locally owned and operated hospitality group based in Columbus, Ohio's Short North Arts District. We currently operate five restaurants and bars throughout Central Ohio, with three new venues opening in 2025. Our portfolio also includes collaborations in luxury housing and hotel accommodations. Responsibilities:
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the restaurant’s layout, reservation system, and current menu offerings to confidently answer guest questions and support a seamless dining experience
Provide elevated, personalized hospitality to both hotel guests and local patrons, creating a welcoming and polished first impression from the moment they arrive
Greet all guests with genuine warmth, offer thoughtful assistance with seating preferences, and maintain a courteous and professional demeanor at all times.
Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing host stand and entry area throughout the shift, ensuring readiness for guest arrivals and efficient flow of service
Proactively communicate guest needs, special occasions, or accessibility requirements to the service team and management, taking initiative to ensure guest satisfaction
Exhibit composure and flexibility in a high-energy, fast-paced environment—especially during peak dining hours, rooftop events, and high-volume evenings
Demonstrate punctuality and reliability by arriving fully prepared and on time before each shift, contributing to smooth restaurant operations and exceptional guest service
Qualifications:
Previous host or front-of-house experience in a high-volume or upscale restaurant is preferred; familiarity with reservation systems, Open Table, and guest flow management is a plus.
Proven ability to deliver exceptional guest service and create a warm, welcoming first impression.
Maintains a consistently positive attitude and polished appearance that reflects the standards of the hotel, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Must be able to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing for extended periods and moving quickly and efficiently throughout the shift.
