Position Snapshot

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced solution architect with strong knowledge and hands-on experience of building data analytics and AI applications. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Design architecture for specific machine learning or AI application on the Nestlé IT landscape and define the technical elements and data flows, sometimes with the help of solution architect

• Collaborate closely with Global and Zone machine learning and AI development teams to evaluate and select appropriate technologies, tools, and frameworks in the Market

• Act as product owner in the market to develop, operate, and maintain specific ML/AI applications

• Oversee the integration of data sources, systems, and platforms to facilitate the flow of data

• Ensure scalability and performance of machine learning and AI applications to optimize efficiency

• Implement security measures and comply with compliance standards and regulations

• Collaborate with stakeholders, including business owners and vendors, to understand requirements and communicate technical solutions, to work with vendors to perform DevOps tasks

• Lead to create and maintain documentation, including design documents and technical specifications

• Continuously monitor and improve the performance and effectiveness of machine learning and AI applications by focusing on emerging technologies and use cases (Scope of change) Operations specified by the company

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher of computer science or data science, or related

Language: Japanese (reading, writing, speaking at business level or higher) / English (TOEIC 750 score or higher is preferred. There are many opportunities to use English for writing and speaking.)

Must Have

• At least 3 years of Hands-on experience as a data scientist or similar roles

• Strong knowledge of machine learning and AI technologies, tools, and frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.)

• Proficiency in data integration, data modeling, and database management

• Experience with cloud platforms and services (Azure MLOps, LLMOps, Databricks, etc.)

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

• Excellent communication and cooperation skills

• Ability to work effectively in a fast and dynamic environment

• Experience in managing projects and IT vendors

Nice to Have

• Business Communication Skills in English

• Experience in designing and developing business transactional applications

• Experience in agile development

• Experience in FMCG or related industries

Persona

• Able to lead vendors technically and deliver results

• Able to solve problems proactively and independently

Working Conditions

Status: Regular / Permanent employee (Trial period 6 months)

Location: KOBE Head Office / 7-1-15, Gokodori, Chuo-ku, KOBE 651-0087 Japan

Transfer: No immediate (It may occur depending on the transfer after joining the company)

The number of recruited: 1 person(s)

Annual Gross Income: Around 7.0 to 11.0 million yen / Monthly pay basis (It will be determined in consideration of age, experience and skills.)

Allowance: Bonus-twice a year, Grade allowance, Commuting expenses

Holidays: Annual holiday 123 days / 2 days off per week

Paid leave: 10 days in the first year (Given on the start day) up to 20 days

Working hours: 9:00a.m.-5:45p.m. (Break 60 min. actual work 7 hours 45 min.) After a certain period, Discretionary Working System for Management-Related Work (企画業務型裁量労働制) will apply.
