Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) Systems Architect / CLEARANCE REQUIRED

San Jose, CA (HYBRID REMOTE)

200-240K + Bonus + Sign-on bonus and paid relocation available.

The selected candidate will work to identify and acquire new business ventures for and its customers. The SIGINT System Architect will work among a talented and technically accomplished group of colleagues enjoying a flexible work environment where contributions are recognized and rewarded.

The selected SIGINT System Architect:

Supports programs within international and domestic Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) marketplace, with emphasis on Satellite Communications (SATCOM), Communications Intelligence (COMINT), Direction Finding (DF) Systems.

Leads cradle-to-grave Systems Engineering efforts from creating initial CONOPs through System Development, Implementation, Integration, Testing, Verification, Validation, and all portions in between to ensure the product both meets the requirements and supports our customer’s needs.

Defines system architectures based on non-technical mission objectives

Supports decomposition of architectures and objectives into system requirements and further decomposition within specific engineering domains.

Conduct trade studies into technologies supporting SIGINT solutions

Establishes and maintains frequent Intelligence Community (IC) and Defense customer contacts in the international and domestic SIGINT, COMINT/DF, and EW marketplace

Collaborates with customers to develop system Concept of Operations (CONOPS), architectures, and requirements for SIGINT, COMINT/DF, and EW systems

Develops and presents briefing packages of SIGINT capabilities and system offerings to international and domestic customers

Works closely with business area technical and management team to align business area strategy, capabilities, investments, and offerings with SIGINT, COMINT/DF and EW markets

Performs competitor analyses and develops teaming relationships as needed

Works closely with Export Compliance organization to obtain all export licenses for business pursuits in the international marketplace

The candidate must demonstrate extensive experience in areas related to the following technology areas:

RF signal processing system design

System modeling, simulation, and algorithm development

Analyzing and characterizing SATCOM signals

Collection and analysis of communication signals in L, C, and K spectrums

Ability to lead interdisciplinary teams

Detailed understanding of the SIGINT, COMINT/DF and EW marketplace including major customers and industry competitors

Performance evaluation of signal processing solutions

Understanding of DSP software development

Work effectively in a cross functional team as well as a diverse customer base

Develop testing criteria and execute validation of designs

Experience working in a fast-paced development environment focused on fielding complex signal processing solutions

Proficient in signal processing algorithm development in MATLAB or Python

Demonstrated problem-solving, verbal and written communication, presentation and organizational skills

Proven technical leadership skills ability to generate and deliver creative problem solutions

Strong ability to manage tasks and projects independently with urgency

In addition, the candidate must possess excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to travel worldwide, up to 20%

Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) with 8+ years’ experience or Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) with 10+ years’ experience

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 10+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 8 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
