Job Title: OB/GYN Physician

Location: Defiance Hospital, Defiance, OH

Position Overview:

Defiance Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate OB/GYN to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this full-time position, you will provide comprehensive obstetrics and gynecological care to patients of all ages. Key Responsibilities:

Provide prenatal, postnatal, and gynecological care for women at all stages of life.

Perform routine examinations, screenings, and diagnostic tests.

Offer expert consultation, diagnosis, and treatment for a range of obstetric and gynecological conditions.

Manage labor and delivery, including cesarean sections and vaginal deliveries.

Counsel patients on family planning, contraception, and reproductive health.

Participate in on-call rotation and weekend duties as required.

Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records and documentation in compliance with hospital policies and regulations.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

Qualifications:

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.

Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Active, unrestricted Ohio medical license or ability to obtain one.

Strong clinical knowledge in OB/GYN, including high-risk obstetrics and routine gynecological care.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.

Ability to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced, evolving medical environment.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

Experience in minimally invasive surgical procedures (laparoscopy).

Expertise in managing complex obstetric cases.

Leadership experience or interest in mentoring junior medical staff.

Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
