Location: Sherwood, Oregon

Compensation: $24-30/hr. DOE

Hours: Monday â Friday 6am-2:30pm

A Local manufacturing company that engineers, fabricates, and constructs equipment for the farming and logging industry for the last 45 years is looking to hire! This company is proud to buy and make all of its products in the United States. They are a complete process taking in material and performing everything from CNC machining, welding, and assembly.

What You'll Do:

As a manual machinist you will be working with primarily mills and lathes operating manual process machines, using tools to fabricate, and inspecting parts for defects post machining.

What You Need to Have:

Proven experience as machinist with Mills or Lathes experience (2+ years preferred)

Experience in using and/or programming manual, semi-automated or automated tools and machines (lathes, mills, grinders etc.)

Ability to use precision tools (e.g. calipers) to take accurate measurements

Knowledge of the properties of metal and other material, mainly mild steel

Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals (We are old-school, so anyone who can interpret a set-up sheet will be gold)

Good at math with analytical abilities

Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items (we have overhead cranes for anything over 50+ lbs.)
